The Pharmacy Assistant National Conference (PA Conference) is the national event for pharmacy assistants wishing to enhance their career and stay abreast of the latest industry developments. The conference is now in its 12th year and attracts over 400 attendees from around the country.

The PA Conference features an excellent educational program providing both career and personal development, an exciting social program featuring three networking events, and over thirty trade displays showcasing the latest in industry products and services.

In 2010 the conference will again feature two concurrent streams, providing an excellent mix of topics for those new to the industry, through to those at the senior level of their pharmacy career. Following the success of the introduction of these streams in 2009, the concurrent streams will again be divided into Educational sessions (product knowledge and disease state management topics) and Professional sessions (management focussed topics aimed at supervisors/retail managers).

These streams, as well as the plenary session topics, will explore the conference theme “Promoting a healthy life for our community”.

The conference will commence on the Thursday night with Welcome Drinks, allowing those travelling alone to the conference to meet fellow delegates before the event officially begins the next day. The social program continues with Friday night’s Welcome Reception, which will feature an ice-breaker/ networking activity, and finishes on Saturday night with the not-to-be missed Conference Dinner. The theme of this year’s dinner is “Fairytale”.
