About the Award
The Pharmacy Guild of Australia/GSK National Pharmacy Assistant of the Year (PATY) Award is the most prestigious award for Pharmacy Assistants in Australia. The Award is open to all Pharmacy Assistants who have been working in pharmacy for two years or more.

Nominations for The Pharmacy Guild of Australia/GSK National Pharmacy Assistant of the Year Award 2013 has now closed. If you are a pharmacy assistant who has entered the Award, you will notified in writing of your entry status, by the end of June.
The Prizes
National Winner:
- Cash prize of $5,000
- Pharmacy Guild training course of your choice valued up to $5,100*
- Assistance in writing a monthly column for PostScript Magazine and quarterly column in Frontline
State Finalists
- Flights, accommodation and registration to attend the Pharmacy Assistant National Conference on the Gold Coast
- Public speaking training
The GuildSuper Star Award!
This award recognizes outstanding customer service. The winner will be selected during the State Workshop & Judging Days, but will not be one of the eight State Finalists. Prize includes a Guild Training course* plus flights, accommodation and registration to attend the Pharmacy Assistant National Conference on the Gold Coast.
*Training prize is non-transferrable
Judging Process
Successful nominees will be invited to attend the State Workshop & Judging Day in their state or territory. The State Workshop & Judging Day consists of a workshop session where participants will be judged on their industry knowledge and experience, leadership skills and product knowledge.
The State Workshop & Judging Day is a great opportunity for personal and career development and to meet fellow Pharmacy Assistants.
The eight State Finalists selected at the State Workshop & Judging Days will then compete for the National Award at the National Judging Day at the Pharmacy Assistant National Conference on Thursday 24 October.
